Asbury Park: "Vacation" 05

I think the Go Go's were on to something when they sang "Vacation. . .meant to be spent alone." I hardly ever go on vacation. The weather kind of sucked except for 1/2 a day, it cost a nice chunk of money, and it proved to be instrumental in initiating a new round of relationship "hijinks." (Don't ask.) Hot fun in the summertime? Not so much! Oh well, live and learn, right?

We went to Asbury Park--a town on the Jersey Shore that used to be one of, if not the primo Jersey Shore destinations. But it started to go downhill, and by the mid 80s it was essentially dead. But for the past few years Asbury Park has been on it's way back . Had I any money, I'd be seriously looking into starting some kind of a business there, if not full time then at least for next summer.
