Valentine's Day Quiz

Think you know a lot about this semi-lame "holiday?" Okay, prove it--take the quiz and let's see if you're Goofus or Gallant. Oh yeah, and if you have a Valentine and still haven't gotten her/him an approrpriate token of love, you better get crackin!

"Absolutely Fabulous" Quiz

Can you ever REALLY get enough of those two thoroughly self-indulgent, self-centered, pill-popping booze hounds, Pats and Eddy? I know I can't. You've all watched the shows over and over, but you may find yourselves scratching your heads for the answers to these questions. Here's a thought--after each question take a big ol' swig of Bolly. By the time you're finished you won't care HOW you did on the quiz!

"All About Eve" Quiz

Who doesn't absolutely LOVE the film, "All About Eve?" Let me rephrase that--who's extremely witty, acerbic, intelligent, and totally "gets it" that doesn't love "All About Eve?" It's everything a movie should be. Great acting, direction, writing, and gave life to one of my personal fictional idols, Margo Channing. "Fasten your seatbelts, it's going to be a bumpy quiz."

"Bionic Woman" Quiz

Who growing up in the Seventies can ever forget Lindsey Wagner as the Bionic Woman, AKA Jaime Sommers? How COULD you with storylines about alien princesses, is it really her mother come back from the dead or is she the spy/double, and, my personal favorite, a mad scientist creates a pack of evil "fembots" to take over the world? Definitely TV at its finest. This was the first Quiz I ever wrote, and it was actually before I even had a Web site.

"The Birds" Quiz

Most of you probably know that "The Birds" is one of my favorite films, possibly even my absolute favorite. Yeah, I do often make fun of its flaws--and it has lots of them--but it's still an amazing work overall. This isn't as hard and/or esoteric as the "All About Eve" quiz, but if you haven't at least SEEN this film, don't bother taking the quiz.

British Invasion Quiz

You HAVE to remember the "British Invasion," at least if you were alive at the time. The music, the clothes, the hair--just the sheer mod fab grooviness of it all. As do many trends, the British Invasion started with music, and it was a lot more than just The Beatles. (If there weren't more, they wouldn't have called it an "invasion" now, would they dears?) I'll tell you right now, this is NOT an easy quiz. If you don't at least know who some of the other bands of the British Invasion were, don't even bother; taking this will embarass you. Play DorConcentration instead.

"Brother Can You Spare A Dime" Quiz

I wrote this quiz when I was unemployed for a year and three months; it's my homage to all things poor. And it's not easy, so even if you ARE poor, don't expect to waltz right in and ace it. I still blame that moron George W. Bush and his cadre of new greedy robber-baron pals for being laid off to begin with, and for being out of work that long.

Cocktail Quiz, or The Fine Art of Mixing Drinks

I was going to make the quiz for July about America--patriotism, the 4th of July, the Revolutionary War, Jingoism, and all that. But at this particular moment in time I honestly don't give a rat's ass about the 4th of July. So, I put my thinking cap on. Yes, I DO really have one, it's made out of discarded parts from a 1970 Chevy Chevelle SS 454 and powered by a dry-cell battery. And I came to the conclusion that nothing's more American than cocktails. Alcohol. Hooch. The Devil's Lubricant. (I just made that one up.) I mean, my family has been here since the American Revolution, and one of my ancestors even fought in it. And said snotty lineage also contains a LONG line of uptight, white-people alcoholics. Put those two facts together, and I think it means cocktails are what made this country great.

Effortless, Super-Easy Quiz

Okay, since I'm tired of listening to lots of you whine and whine that the quizzes are too hard I made one up of things I knew off the top of my head. And believe me, coming up with 20 things I knew on my own was pretty damn hard. Some of the questions are about me, but the answers are VERY obvious. Or they should be if you're not a complete feeb.

"I Love Lucy" Quiz

Who doesn't love Lucy? "I Love Lucy" is possibly the closest to perfection in a TV show that anyone will ever create. But even though you've seen all the episodes hundreds of times, how much do you really know? Take the quiz--you may be surprised.

"Weekly World News" Quiz

This year for my birthday instead of doing a quiz about me, which most people I know stink at even though they're usually really easy, I decided to do a quiz about my favorite publication: "The Weekly World News." Really, being editor in chief--or even a writer--for the WWN is my dream job. Most of these questions and answers are from the May 2, 2005 issue, but I supplemented with a few questions from the stories in their online edition.
